Summary: Raytheon is a company dedicated to helping the nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. They are seeking a Power & Analog Design Engineer I to assist with architecture development, design and analysis of circuitry, and support integration activities in engineering laboratories.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level
- Design, analyze, test, and document analog and power conversion circuitry. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications
- Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stack up definition
- Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories
- Drive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit level tasking
- Function as an individual contributor
- Engage in professional growth and development
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
- Typically requires 12 months or less prior relevant experience
- Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits
- Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, LTSpice, Saber, or other similar tools
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.0 calculative GPA desired from an ABET accredited institution
- Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost
- Analog, and/or Power electronics coursework
- Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment
- Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
