Job Description – Mathematics Faculty

Reporting - The Principal , Rathinam International Public School

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics for Grades 8th, 9th, and 10th in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.

• Conduct JEE Foundation classes focusing on conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and assessments.

• Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and periodic examinations.

• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial coaching to improve student outcomes.

• Develop students' analytical thinking and mathematical reasoning.

• Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and revision classes before examinations.

• Prepare students for school examinations, Olympiads, NTSE, and JEE Foundation-level competitive exams.

• Maintain accurate attendance records, student progress reports, and academic documentation.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress when required.

• Participate in academic planning, faculty meetings, and school events.

• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.

• Ensure classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mathematics (B.Sc./M.Sc. Mathematics).

• B.Ed. is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience for Grades 8–10.

• Experience in JEE Foundation or competitive examination coaching is highly preferred.
