Business Overview
Rakuten Group's mission is to " EMPOWERMENT through innovation and partnerships." Guided by our vision to remain a "Global Innovation Company," we offer a wide range of over 70 diverse services. These include e-commerce services such as the internet shopping mall "Rakuten Ichiba" and the travel site "Rakuten Travel," financial services like "Rakuten Bank," and professional sports, among others.
Department Overview
Facilities Management Department at Rakuten Group provides an environment where employees can maintain high productivity and maximize their performance. Going beyond simple office management, we are responsible for strategic office development and CRE (Corporate Real Estate) management that contributes to employee engagement and productivity improvement, powerfully supporting the overall business growth of the Rakuten Group. As a group headquarters function, we create guidelines for office selection and design for domestic and international group companies, realizing a globally unified Rakuten-style work environment. Furthermore, we are responsible for office planning, selection, and construction in line with business expansion, managing projects related to offices and real estate.
This department plays a pivotal role in the comprehensive planning, development, and execution of all office construction, renovation, and relocation projects across the entire Rakuten Group's domestic footprint.
Despite its "Construction Management" designation, our responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of project delivery as an in-house expert team. This includes strategic office design, detailed requirements definition, competitive bidding processes, meticulous construction supervision, and rigorous cost management. Our team is united in its commitment to continuous improvement, diligently applying the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle to enhance efficiency and deliver increasingly superior outcomes.
Given Rakuten Group's dynamic nature as a relatively young and rapidly evolving company, we constantly navigate new office establishments, consolidations, and closures. As such, our team is increasingly tasked with implementing highly cost-conscious and efficient solutions for all our upcoming projects.
