Civil Engineer at RAKHAT CONSTRUCTION LLC in Ras al-Khaimah

Rakhat Construction is looking for a proactive Civil Engineer with a strong structural engineering background to support low-rise building and construction projects in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have UAE construction experience, practical knowledge of structural works, and exposure to Dubai Municipality-approved G+4 projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring civil and structural works on site.
• Supervise structural activities including excavation, foundations, footing, columns, beams, slabs, blockwork, concrete works, steel reinforcement, waterproofing, and related finishing interfaces.
• Review structural drawings, approved shop drawings, specifications, method statements, material submittals, and work schedules before execution.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site supervisors, and skilled labor to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings and project requirements.
• Conduct daily site inspections to check workmanship, reinforcement fixing, formwork, concrete pouring, curing, levels, dimensions, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and submit Requests for Inspection (RFIs), work inspection requests, material inspection requests, and site reports.
• Monitor construction progress and report delays, technical issues, material requirements, and manpower needs to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, material requisitions, site measurements, and verification of subcontractor work completed.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings, project documentation, handover records, and snagging lists.
• Ensure that all works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, quality requirements, and UAE construction standards.
• Maintain proper records of daily activities, concrete test results, material approvals, inspection records, and site instructions.
• -Coordinate with the QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure quality and safety requirements are followed at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in civil construction, building projects, or structural site engineering.
• Strong knowledge of structural construction works, including reinforced concrete structures, foundations, columns, beams, slabs, blockwork, and steel reinforcement.
• Dubai Municipality-approved G+4 building is required.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality building-permit processes, approved structural drawings, inspection requirements, and construction documentation is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office is required; knowledge of Primavera, MS Project, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or similar structural software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, method statements, ITPs, BOQs, and site quality documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills in English; Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, or other regional languages are an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure, manage site priorities, and coordinate with different teams.
• Must be willing to relocate to Ras Al Khaimah.
• Available to join immediately or within a short notice period is preferred.

Pay: Up to AED10,000.00 per month
