Social Media Content Marketing Manager - Hybrid
General Position Summary & Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the development, creation, coordination, and execution of social media content marketing, community engagement campaigns, influencer partnerships, and brand awareness campaigns that support customer acquisition and retention, loyalty program growth, and increased foot traffic across Pick-n-Pull's 48 locations throughout the United States and Western Canada.
The Social Media Content Marketing Manager understands social media strategy and how to effectively utilize social media platforms, content creation tools, influencer marketing, and community management techniques to drive customer engagement and strengthen brand awareness. This position drives Pick-n-Pull’s organic social media strategy, owning the creation and curation of engaging content across multiple channels including short-form video, photography, customer stories, inventory highlights, and promotional campaigns.
The role is responsible for developing original content, coordinating content contributions from local stores, managing relationships with automotive influencers and content creators, monitoring online communities and customer interactions, and analyzing performance metrics to continuously improve engagement, audience growth, and referral traffic. Working closely with regional and store leadership teams, this position promotes sales events, vehicle inventory, the cash-for-junk-cars program, recycling initiatives, and loyalty program offerings through informative and entertaining content that resonates with DIY automotive enthusiasts, mechanics, builders, and budget-conscious consumers.
The Social Media Content Marketing Manager treats Pick-n-Pull's store locations as a dynamic content setting, and will collaborate with local teams, corporate employees, customers, and local communities to identify and share content and compelling stories that increase brand engagement, strengthen community relationships, and drive customer activity.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
Essential Functions
- Design and implement organic social media content marketing by managing and scheduling from a monthly approved editorial content calendar for non-paid content.
- Develop, curate, produce and edit, or curate, and publish multimedia content, including short-form video, photography, and written content, across social media platforms to promote vehicle inventory, automotive DIY content, customer success stories, promotional events, and other initiatives that support customer acquisition and retention, loyalty program growth engagement, and increased foot traffic
- Partner with Regional Managers, Store Managers, and other stakeholders across all markets to identify, develop, coordinate, and promote localized content highlighting sales events, vehicle inventory, the Cash for Junk Cars program, recycling initiatives, promotional events, and other customer engagement opportunities.
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with automotive influencers, content creators, enthusiast communities, and strategic partners to support marketing initiatives, increase brand visibility, drive customer acquisition, and generate yard traffic.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for content creators and brand partners, coordinating outreach efforts, collaborative marketing initiatives, and on-site filming activities.
- Create and deliver engaging on-camera content featuring customers, vehicle inventory, automotive projects, promotional campaigns, and other brand-related topics across digital and social media channels.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute interactive social media campaigns, livestreams, contests, giveaways, promotional events, and other audience engagement initiatives designed to increase brand awareness, customer participation, admissions, and store traffic.
- Monitor and engage with customers and online communities across social media platforms, review sites, and other digital channels to strengthen brand reputation, encourage customer interaction, and support a positive customer experience.
- Manage localization efforts, asset libraries, platform-specific content strategies, brand voice standards, and community management activities across multiple markets and locations.
- Monitor automotive, aftermarket, DIY, social media, and digital marketing trends to develop timely, relevant, and engaging content that supports audience growth, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
- Track, analyze, and report on content performance metrics, including engagement, audience growth, referral traffic, and campaign effectiveness, and provide recommendations to optimize future content and social media strategies.

Communicates upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.
Job Conditions
This position operates in a hybrid work environment, currently three days per week in office and two days remotely, subject to change based on business needs. The role requires the ability to manage competing priorities, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and maintain focus in a busy office setting.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or content marketing, preferably within the automotive, automotive aftermarket, retail, or other consumer-facing industries, including responsibility for managing social media platforms, content calendars, and digital content campaigns.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the automotive industry through, content creation, marketing, sales, customer service, or involvement with automotive aftermarket, repair, parts distribution, dealership, motorsports, or enthusiast organizations.
- Experience creating, editing, and publishing short-form video content for social media platforms using video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools. A portfolio or examples of published content will be required during the interview process.
- Experience developing written and visual content for social media, digital marketing, or brand communications, including communicating automotive, vehicle parts, or other technical product information to consumer audiences.
- Experience identifying, engaging, and managing relationships with social media influencers, content creators, brand ambassadors, or strategic partners, including coordinating campaigns and tracking performance metrics such as reach, engagement, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
- Experience coordinating content initiatives across multiple locations, brands, business units, or stakeholder groups preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; keyboard for several hours per day; be mobile within an office setting; communicate by phone and in person in a professional manner. Visual acuity for close detail work for analyzing documentation and for operating a computer terminal.
