PRN-Financial Counseling Representative

Summary: R1 RCM is the leading provider of technology-driven solutions for hospitals and health systems. The Financial Counseling Representative will be responsible for counseling uninsured and under-insured patients to help them obtain funding for their medical services, while providing compassionate communication and excellent customer service. Responsibilities: - Counsel uninsured and under-insured patients to obtain a paying funding source for their medical service(s) - Accurately and compassionately explain financial options and obligations during counseling sessions with patients - Multi-task and navigate multiple systems while communicating with compassion and authenticity - Gain and display a thorough understanding of Medicaid and other funding programs to provide patients with clear information Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED - Excellent customer service skills - Compassionate communication Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience as a financial counselor - Background in medical terminology - Understanding State and Federal assistance programs - Relevant healthcare experience Required Skills: Medicaid, State Assistance Programs, Federal Assistance Programs, Medical Terminology, Compassionate Communication Benefits: Competitive benefits package
