Assistant Manager Logistics (Outward)

R.M. Phosphates & Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is one of India's leading manufacturers of fertilizers, specialty nutrients, and agri-input products. We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Logistics to manage outbound logistics operations, transportation planning, freight optimization, and supply chain efficiency across multiple manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities
Outward Logistics & Dispatch Operations
• Manage end-to-end outbound logistics operations across manufacturing plants.
• Ensure timely vehicle placement to meet dispatch schedules and customer commitments.
• Monitor daily dispatch activities, transportation planning, and order execution.
• Track finished goods inventory (SSP, WSF, Cattle Feed, and other products) for effective dispatch planning.
• Prepare and monitor Order vs. Dispatch TAT reports to improve dispatch efficiency.
Transportation Management
• Lead and manage Transportation Management System (TMS) implementation and daily operations.
• Monitor transporter performance, vehicle availability, and delivery timelines.
• Optimize vehicle utilization and transportation routes to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with transporters for seamless movement of finished goods across PAN India.
Freight Management & Negotiation
• Negotiate freight rates with transporters to achieve cost optimization.
• Finalize Annual Rate Contracts (ARC) with logistics partners.
• Verify freight bills against approved freight rates and ARC agreements.
• Monitor logistics costs and ensure accurate transporter billing.
• Identify opportunities for freight savings and logistics process improvements.
Supply Chain Coordination
• Coordinate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth dispatch operations.
• Manage PAN India distribution planning for fertilizers and related products.
• Ensure timely movement of finished goods while maintaining service levels.
MIS & Reporting
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics MIS reports.
• Monitor FMS entries and dispatch documentation before vehicle movement.
• Conduct transit reconciliation for dispatches, stock transfers, and inward receipts.
• Present logistics performance reports and KPIs to management.
Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and monitor the logistics team across multiple plant locations.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, compliance standards, and operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.

Educational Qualification
