Developer - EDI at R+L Carriers in Albany, NY

R+L Carriers is expanding its Information Technology Department and has immediate openings for TIBCO EDI Developers with expertise in trading partner mappings using TIBCO Business Works.  Successful candidates will work with internal and external customers, cartage partners and vendors in development and customization of EDI transformations and mappings. Job responsibilities include assisting in planning and improving EDI services per our customer requirements and feedback.  Our goal is to create successful and productive relationships with customers, partners and vendors through enhanced B2B technical integration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Review and interpret trading partners’ integration specifications

• Work with trading partners to test transactions and meet their expectations

• Work on TIBCO Business Connect, TIBCO Business Works and TIBCO Admin to implement EDI solutions

• Participate in peer TIBCO development code-reviews

• Create unit, integration and system test plans 

• Perform output validation against internal data sources and trading partners’ requirements

• Review and address transaction-level exceptions

• Support and maintain existing TIBCO EDI solutions. 

• Follow-up with our AR department and the customers AR department to verify the 210 invoice has the appropriate information and can be processed by their invoicing system.

• Research Transaction rejection notifications.

• Assist in Maintaining Customer Info on Portal.

   

Qualifications

• Must be team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must have strong problem-solving skills to address complex problems within the technical arena and develop creative and practical recommendations and solutions

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Detail Oriented

• 2 years experience in EDI development, translation and mapping

• 6 months experience with Java, VB.NET and ASP.NET 

• 3 years experience with any of the following TIBCO products:

• TIBCO Business Works, Version 5

• TIBCO BusinessConnect

• TIBCO Hawk and TIBCO RTView 

• TIBCO Patterns

• TIBCO Business Events

• Familiar with EDI ANSI X12 motor carrier specifications is a plus

• Experience with sFTP and AS2 is a plus

• Experience in the Transportation or Logistics industry is a plus

• TIBCO Certification (esp. in BusinessWorks) is a plus 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
