As an AML Operations Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of detecting, preventing, and mitigating risks like money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud.This is a full-time permanent position based on a 38-hour working week. The role can be located in our Townsville Head Office or Brisbane Admin Office. About You Demonstrated experience reviewing and analysing alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems and investigate unusual or suspicious activityStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyse complex information and draw sound conclusionsExperience assisting in preparing Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) for submission to AUSTRACThe ability to perform onboarding and ongoing due diligence reviews for individual and business customers, verifying customer identity and assessing risk profiles in line with AML/CTF obligationsDemonstrated experience collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and provide clear, professional communication when responding to queries or escalating mattersAbility to work collaboratively with the team and internal stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, and Customer Service teams to support a culture of compliance and contribute to ongoing improvements in risk controlsTertiary qualifications in Criminology, Finance, Business, Law, or a related field (desirable)Experience with transaction monitoring systems or fraud detection tools is highly desirableAbout Us Queensland Country have been certified as a Great Place to Work and with over 55 years in business, we continue to shape a phenomenal culture through having our values at the core of what we do.
