Job Description
Summary: Hillel at Florida State University is seeking a Springboard Fellow to enhance Jewish student life on campus. The role involves building relationships with students, planning events, and fostering an inclusive Jewish community. This is a two-year fellowship aimed at recent college graduates passionate about Jewish life.
Responsibilities:
- Actively contribute to shaping Hillel at FSU by engaging directly with students through one on one coffee chats, innovative outreach strategies, programming and teaching
- Assist Professional team in all aspects of Hillel Operations
- Meet with students from different cohorts and demographics on campus to engage them, identify their interests and connect to opportunities
- Meet with students to help connect them with leadership roles in Hillel
- Participate in a wide variety of programming, leadership and wellness development, and outreach efforts, as agreed upon during weekly team huddles and weekly one on one supervision meetings
- Assist in developing strategic and innovative engagement plans to maximize student involvement in Jewish life on campus
Required Qualifications:
- 0 -3 years professional work experience
- Bachelor's degree
- This is an in-person role location in Tallahassee, Florida; remote work is not available for this position
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit. Things may not always go according to plan and you must be willing to take risks and learn your wins as well as your losses
- Ability to collaborate across teams both inside and outside of Hillel
- Willingness to admit what you don't know, and excitement to learn in those areas
- Creative problem-solving
