Java Backend Developer (Mid-Level) at Quara Ai Tech in Bhilai

About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Developer to join our team building a digital lending and payments platform in the FinTech/BFSI space. You'll design and ship production microservices that handle real financial workloads, working closely with the Team Lead on a modern Java stack.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend microservices using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Design event-driven flows with Apache Kafka.
• Write clean, well-tested code and own features end-to-end.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Integrate third-party services (payments, identity, compliance).
• Participate in code reviews, deployments, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions and platform improvements.

Must-Have

• 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience in Java (8 and 17).
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Security.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Production experience with Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and query optimization.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Experience working with caching technologies (Memcached or Redis Cache).
• Good grasp of design patterns, clean code principles, and testing practices.

Nice-to-Have

• FinTech/BFSI or payments domain experience.
• Exposure to Keycloak or OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect (OIDC) identity flows.
• Cloud experience (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure).
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven systems.
