Summary: Qualitrol is a leading manufacturer of monitoring and protection devices for high-value electrical assets. The Process Engineer role focuses on planning and overseeing quality and production improvements, developing processes for new and existing products, and leading continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities: - Investigates, analyzes, develops, and determines processes and process improvements for new and existing products - Plans equipment layout and workflow to maintain safe and efficient utilization of plant resources - Coordinates Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities with special emphasis on RBS (Ralliant Business System) principles that include standard work, one-piece flow, visual controls,5S, and variability reduction - Lead and assist in the development of new methods, tooling, test systems, and machine designs that reduce cycle time and improve productivity and quality - Lead and assist in the planning and performance, research, design and development of manufacturing engineering projects - Ownership of troubleshooting internal and external quality issues by performing root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Why, 8D) and driving corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) - Performs duties in accordance with established quality standards - Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required - Actively support Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations Required Qualifications: - BS Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent - Minimum 1+ years in a lean manufacturing environment - Demonstrated analytical/statistical problem-solving skills - Familiarity with statistical methods and software (Minitab, JMP, etc.) - Proficient in database tools and ability to use programming language for modifying/maintaining databases and reporting purposes - Proven experience in process improvement, problem solving, and knowledge of process control methodologies such as DMAIC, Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC - DFM and/or Lean production flow knowledge - Must be very proficient using spreadsheets to aid analysis - Hands-on mechanical ability to solve tooling and equipment challenges - Ability to integrate and work well in a team environment - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to provide positive, consistent communication with associates throughout the organization - Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities - Driven to get results and make impactful change - Strong collaboration and influencing skills - Comfortable working on the shop floor and with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications: - Working knowledge of Lab View and SolidWorks - Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO9001) and quality tools (MSA, R&R, PFMEA) - Experience integrating automation technology and vision systems - CAPEX project management experience Required Skills: Lean manufacturing, Statistical methods, Minitab, JMP, Database programming, Process improvement, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, DFM, Spreadsheet analysis, LabVIEW, SolidWorks, ISO9001, MSA, R&R, PFMEA, Tooling and equipment troubleshooting, Automation technology, Vision systems, CAPEX project management
