Job Description & Summary
The jobholder will assume overall responsibility for teams of professionals delivering assurance services primarily to our portfolio of Chinese clients. This role emphasises deep engagement with the Chinese client segment, including audits and accounting advice services to existing and prospective Chinese-speaking clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance:
Play key roles inassurancebased projects’ delivery andbusiness and practice development activitieswithChinese speakingclients, and
Represent and participate in the ChineseBusiness Network (CBN)teamsin Vietnam and the region.
Portfolio Management:
Act as Team Manager for assigned Chinese client portfolio/engagements:
Plan and executethe engagementswithspecificfocus on Chineseclientsand business environments.
Supervisethe workof theengagement teamin accordance withauditing standards and/orthefirm’s requiredpolicies andmethodology.
Beaccountable to theengagementtnleader/partneron the required quality andtheproject’sdeliverytimelines
Maintain and strengthen positive relationships with clients
Relationship and Business Development:
Contribute to build a strongbusiness relationship withthe Chinese business community, in particular:
Consolidate technical capability and sector-specific knowledge related to Chineseinvestors’ relatedindustries.
Build a strong professional network within the Chinese business community in Hanoiand northern area.
Stay informed on Chinese industry sectors, regulations, and business practices.
Participate inproposals andemerging topics sharing toChinese clients.
People Management:
SupportAssuranceleadership in driving the people agenda with a focus on Chinese-speaking professionals.
Assist in performance evaluations and career development of team members familiar with or focused on the Chinese market.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above inAudit,Accounting,Finance,Economics, or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as VACPA, ACCA, Australian CPA, or equivalents.
Experience:
5+ years of external audit or assurance experience, with significant exposure toChinese clients or China-related business environments, preferablyknowledge of Chinese companies operating in Vietnam.
Knowledge & Skills:
Fluency inEnglish andMandarin (written and spoken).
Strong networking and relationship-building skills within the Chinese business community.
In-depth understanding of Chinese business practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and address complex issues in the Chinese commercial context.
Proven leadership and team management skills, especially managing bilingual teams or teams servicing Chinese clients.
Excellent analytical skills and high resilience; self-motivated.
Ability to communicate clearly at all levels, bridging language and cultural gaps effectively.
Tech-savvy, particularly with tools that support collaboration across language and cultural boundaries.
