In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion.

Role Summary:
Ournon-attestdivisionoffers an integrated range ofnon-auditbusiness services, aimed at positioning the firm as a trusted business advisor to owner-managed businesses.
Thepositionincludes fulfilling the engagement leader role ona portfolio ofprivateclients consisting of individuals, trusts, close corporations and companies, signing independent review and compilationreports.
Beyond these engagement specific responsibilities, the individual will support the partner in leading this division,by providing oversight of the managers and staff,coordinating the day-to-dayoperationsandidentifyingand pursuing opportunities for growth.
This is a senior position, taking ownership of an importantpart of our PwC business and being an integral part of our PwC regional leadership teamin the Eastern Cape.
Qualifications / Certificationsrequired:
CA(SA)
Experience required:
A minimum of8years'relevant experience inanaccounting environment, preferably within an audit or similarorganization.
Musthave a good understanding and working experience in IFRS,IFRSforSMEsand taxation.
Responsibilities of role:
Participate as a member of the Assurance Leadership team for the PwC Eastern Cape region.
Engagement leader forportfolioof clients.
Provide oversight of managers andstaff, including allocation of work,coaching and training,review of outputs and performance management.
Interactions with clients, includingidentifyingand executing opportunities for growth.
Tax planning and calculations
