Job Description
Summary: Pure Storage is reshaping the data storage industry and is seeking a Software Asset Analyst to manage Everpure’s SaaS portfolio. The role involves overseeing software asset operations, improving compliance, and ensuring effective governance processes as the company grows.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end software request queue, ensuring routing, approvals, and fulfillment align with company policies and hit target SLAs
- Maintain high-quality software asset data in Productiv, including ownership, contract, usage, and entitlement details that underpin compliance and optimization decisions
- Optimize license utilization and spend through ongoing analysis and targeted reclamation/harvesting campaigns that reduce waste and avoid incremental cost
- Provide SAM governance reporting and insights on request volumes, cycle times, utilization, compliance coverage, and cost-optimization opportunities for stakeholders across Everpure
- Coordinate with app owners and cross-functional partners to plan upcoming renewals and new purchases, ensuring they flow correctly through relevant workflows
- Support Business Applications Council (BAC) operations as needed by providing data for pre-read materials, documenting outcomes related to software asset impacts, and updating SAM tools and documentation based on BAC decisions
- Build out the Knowledge Base, including SOPs, runbooks, templates, FAQs, and self-service resources that help requestors and app owners navigate processes more independently
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in software asset management, or a related field (e.g., ITSM/ITAM operations) with a focus on SaaS
- Proven experience running operational queues (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar), maintaining backlog, SLAs, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Hands-on experience with SAM and/or SaaS management tools, such as ServiceNow SAM Pro, Productiv, Zylo, Lumos, etc
- Excellent data accuracy and organizational skills, including both creating & working with spreadsheets, reports, and multiple systems of record to resolve discrepancies
- Natural collaboration skills and clear communication style, with the ability to explain processes and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to set expectations around timelines and next steps
- A proactive problem-solver's mindset, able to independently analyze issues of moderate complexity, recommend options, and drive follow-through
