Job Summary** PTC Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director of Solutions Engineering to lead our pre-sales technical strategy and execution. This role will be instrumental in driving the adoption of PTC's innovative solutions across various industries by building and mentoring a world-class team of solutions engineers, fostering strong customer relationships, and collaborating with sales, product management, and customer success teams. Job Responsibilities** * Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement. * Develop and execute a comprehensive pre-sales technical strategy aligned with PTC's go-to-market objectives, ensuring effective demonstration and articulation of PTC's value proposition. * Collaborate closely with sales leadership to understand customer needs, identify key business challenges, and position PTC solutions effectively to drive revenue growth. * Oversee the creation and delivery of compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and workshops tailored to specific customer requirements. * Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the sales cycle, acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and the internal sales team. * Champion customer success by ensuring proposed solutions are technically sound, scalable, and meet customer expectations. * Drive continuous innovation in pre-sales methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. * Contribute to product strategy by providing valuable market feedback and customer insights to product management and engineering teams. * Manage resources, budgets, and performance metrics for the Solutions Engineering team. * Represent PTC at industry events, conferences, and customer forums, showcasing our technical expertise and thought leadership. Job Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred. * 10+ years of progressive experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or a related technical leadership role within the enterprise software industry. * Proven track record of successfully leading and managing technical pre-sales teams, with a strong emphasis on coaching, development, and performance management. * Deep understanding of PTC's product portfolio (e.g., IoT, PLM, AR, CAD) and/or related technologies and their application in various industries. * Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including C-level executives. * Strong business acumen and a consultative approach to understanding and solving customer business problems with technology. * Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering successful proof-of-concepts and technical validation strategies. * Ability to travel as required to support sales opportunities and customer engagements. * Experience with agile methodologies and a passion for driving digital transformation.r Life at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
