Job Description:

PSSI is scaling practical AI solutions that improve how we create comprehensive solutions, quote and deliver to support customers, and run the business. The AI Engineer will build and operationalize AI capabilities across our stack—SQL Server, Railway, LLMs, AWS Bedrock, and Power BI—delivering production-ready solutions with measurable impact and strong governance.

Priority Use Cases (2026 / Near-Term Roadmap)

1. Quoting Experience (Q1/Q2 priority): streamline quote creation, pricing guidance, product matching, and faster turnaround with AI-assisted workflows and analytics.

2. Product Inquiry Chatbot: customer/product Q&A and guided inquiry handling with secure knowledge retrieval.

3. Product / Vendor Lookup: fast internal lookup across catalogs, vendor terms, pricing rules, and historical purchase/quote data.

4. CSD HelpDesk Enablement: AI-assisted ticket triage, summarization, routing, and resolution recommendations.

5. Financial Analytics: forecasting, variance explanations, anomaly detection, and executive-ready reporting in Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

· Build AI solutions end-to-end: take a use case from intake → data readiness → prototype → production deployment → monitoring.

· Data engineering & readiness: create reliable datasets from SQL Server (and other sources as needed); implement repeatable pipelines and curated tables/views for analytics and model features.

· GenAI & RAG delivery: develop Bedrock-powered solutions (summarization, extraction, Q&A, classification) using retrieval-augmented generation when appropriate; implement guardrails and evaluation.

· Analytics integration: publish business-ready outputs to Power BI (semantic models, refresh strategy, KPI definitions) and embed insights into workflows.

· Deploy on Railway / APIs / jobs: productionize models and services via APIs, scheduled jobs, and event-driven workflows; ensure reliability, logging, and runbooks.

· Evaluation & monitoring: define metrics, test plans, and acceptance criteria; monitor quality, drift, latency, and cost.

· Security & governance: enforce least-privilege access, PII handling, auditability, and documented lineage; support responsible AI standards.

· Stakeholder collaboration: partner with Sales/Operations/CSD/Finance to define requirements, drive adoption, and maintain an AI delivery backlog.

Required Qualifications

· 3+ years in AI/ML engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or equivalent hands-on delivery.

· Strong SQL (advanced querying, performance awareness) and Python (data wrangling, APIs, automation).

· Practical experience building and evaluating ML solutions (scikit-learn or equivalent); strong understanding of validation and metrics.

· GenAI experience with AWS Bedrock (or comparable), including prompting patterns and RAG concepts (embeddings, chunking, retrieval evaluation).

· Experience deploying services (REST APIs), using Git, and supporting production operations (logging, monitoring, incident response basics).

· Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions; clear written documentation.

· Working knowledge frontier AI model solutions (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, CoPilot, Cortex AI)
