Job Description
Summary: PSA Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines that offers opportunities for growth and professional development. The Engineering Intern will support Engineering and Technical Services teams through data analysis and documentation review, contributing to the safety and reliability of the fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Engineering/Technical Services departments with data management to include but is not limited to data analysis, reviews, audits, and data entry
- Audits and reviews MXI data, faults, corrective actions, and engineering repairs as assigned by the Manager of Engineering
- Learns functionality and utilization of Company applications, and platforms
- Ensures compliance with all policies, practices, procedures, processes, and methods required by the PSA Airlines GMM and other technical data, directives, and instructions
- Creates and provide various technical reports and data packages as requested
- Provides recommendations for improvements to policies practices, procedures, processes, and methods utilized by the Maintenance and Engineering Department
- Assists and support the Vice President of Technical Services and other senior management in projecting a strong commitment to the uncompromising promotion of safety and regulatory compliance
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree or enrolled in a college/university with an anticipated degree in Engineering
- Ability in the use of Technical Data, Manuals, Reliability Statistics
- Experience in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets
- Approachable and able to build productive working relationships
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement
- Previous analytical and problem-solving experience
- Effective communication skills, including listening, oral, and written communication
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast ‑ paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Ability to speak/read/write in English
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S
