Plant Controller – Role Overview
The Plant Controller is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for driving financial performance and maximizing plant profitability. This role provides critical financial insights, ensures accurate reporting, and supports operational decision-making.
This opportunity is open across multiple plant locations, offering flexibility and the chance to support different manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Performance Management
Analyze and forecast manufacturing variances to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Partner with plant management to drive productivity savings aligned with budget commitments
Develop and maintain cost standards for all manufactured products
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the preparation and coordination of departmental and plant-wide budgets and forecasts
Oversee the annual capital budget, including financial justification, expenditure tracking, and ROI analysis
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly close activities and reporting deadlines
Maintain accurate records of plant assets, liabilities, and financial transactions in compliance with corporate policies
Support corporate reporting requirements in collaboration with leadership
Inventory & Audit Oversight
Provide financial oversight during physical inventory counts
Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
Operational Support
Collaborate cross-functionally to support plant operations and financial decision-making
Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or plant controlling
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel occasionally
Preferred
Experience with SAP
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CGMA
Core Competencies

Attention to detail and accuracy
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to influence and partner with operations leadership
