Job Description
Summary: Protect Environmental is driven by a mission to create healthy, safe, clean, and sustainable indoor environments across the United States. They are seeking a Field Technician to join their Radon Mitigation team, where the primary responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining radon mitigation systems, as well as educating customers on system operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and post‑installation testing
- Educate customers on system operation and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and warehouse space
- Occasionally perform light digging or excavation at job sites
- Document job details according to company policy
- Represent Protect Environmental in a professional, customer‑focused manner
- Respond promptly to customer concerns and service needs
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is a plus
- This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, climbing ladders and lifting of equipment
- The job requires good physical health and ability to perform hands on construction work
- Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
- Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
- Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within required timeline
- Are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands‑on work
- Take pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Can work independently and follow established procedures
- Are dependable, organized, and punctual
- Are comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders
- Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of experience in Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance is preferred
