Job Description
Summary: Propeller is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to enhance their IT support function in Denver. The role involves providing technical support, managing infrastructure, automating workflows, and ensuring server functionality while leading independent projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day user requests and IT office support in Denver, troubleshooting complex hardware, networking, and AV issues to keep the team moving
- Build, maintain, and expand our on-premise server room, handling the physical 'rack and stack,' cable management, and hardware upgrades required to meet our cost and capacity goals
- Identify and implement automation for manual processes such as new hire onboarding and account setups
- Lead independent projects to upgrade our MDM solutions and security protocols, ensuring our fleet of laptops remains compliant, secure, and operational
- Document designs, troubleshooting guides, and manuals to ensure technical concepts are accessible to the broader audience and future team members
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong foundational knowledge in networking (WiFi, firewalls)
- MacOS administration
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Foundational knowledge of PC architecture
- Solid grasp of networking basics
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts simply to stakeholders
- Self-starter who can independently lead IT projects from scope to implementation
- Experience with MDM solutions (such as NinjaOne)
- Experience with directory services
- Hands-on AI exposure or curiosity with leveraging AI-driven automation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience working in server rooms or data centers
- Comfortable with physical hardware maintenance, cabling, and infrastructure upgrades
- Exposure to Linux-based server environments
