Job Description
Summary: Pronghorn is a company focused on creating pathways to success in the Spirits industry through innovation and collaboration. They are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Intern to support financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and business planning while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including data entry, reporting, and document organization
- Assist with budget tracking, expense monitoring, and variance analysis across departments or initiatives
- Help prepare financial reports, summaries, and spreadsheets for internal use
- Support invoice tracking, payment follow-up, and expense reconciliation processes
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting activities as needed
- Help maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Conduct research and basic analysis to support forecasting, planning, and decision-making
- Assist with creating presentations, reporting decks, and financial summaries for leadership or cross-functional teams
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information needed for budgeting, reporting, and financial planning
- Support special projects related to process improvement, data cleanup, and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial data
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including basic formulas, formatting, and data organization
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in financial planning, reporting, accounting operations, or business analysis
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with budgeting tools, accounting software, or financial reporting systems
