Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead Structural Engineer for our Dubai office.
The ideal candidate will be a senior structural engineering professional with strong Middle East/GCC experience, capable of leading structural design review and technical assurance for major building and infrastructure assignments.
The role involves technical leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, design review, independent checking and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering delivery and establish review strategies for reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations and associated structural systems.
• Plan and allocate discipline workloads and monitor deliverables against quality and programme requirements.
• Review and check structural design calculations, drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, RFIs and non-conformance proposals.
• Coordinate structural interfaces with architecture, civil, geotechnical, MEP, BIM and construction teams.
• Oversee constructability aspects involving foundations, substructures, long-span structures, embeds, openings, movement joints and construction sequencing.
• Provide technical oversight of temporary works, including design briefs, calculation checks and independent-checking requirements.
• Manage structural risks, design changes, value engineering proposals and technical deviations.
• Mentor structural engineers and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.
• Promote safety in design and ensure technical quality across project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• CEng, PE or equivalent recognised professional registration.
• Minimum 12 years of structural engineering experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience leading structural design review or independent checking on major projects.
• Proven experience leading structural delivery on at least one major airport building project, such as:
• Passenger Terminal
• MRO Facility
• Aircraft Hangar
• Experience with long-span structures, deep foundations, construction sequencing and specialist-system interfaces.
• Strong technical expertise in reinforced concrete, structural steel, deep foundations, substructures and complex building/infrastructure structures.
• Experience reviewing structural calculations, reinforcement details, shop drawings, non-conformances and construction-stage technical submissions.
• Knowledge of BS EN 1992, BS EN 1993, BS EN 1997 and/or ACI 318 & ASCE standards.
• Knowledge of temporary works and BS 5975 or comparable standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis/coordination tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, Robot, Revit and Navisworks.
• Substantial GCC experience is essential; UAE experience is preferred.
• Excellent English communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
