Job Description
Summary: ProdataKey is a company focused on aviation services, and they are seeking an Aircraft Technician Intern to assist in maintaining and handling hangar responsibilities. The intern will perform maintenance tasks under supervision, support aircraft operations, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance under supervision from the DOM including: preventive maintenance, inspections, understand of standards established by FAA regulations, company standards, and industry best practices
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and off hours as determined by the flight schedule up to 20 hours a week - Ability to improve aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availability of all aircraft
- Assist with ordering parts including shipping and receiving
- Ability to switch from several different aircraft and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner while working with the flight crew to maintain a rigorous company flight schedule
- Act as a coordinator and hangar manager at times to maintain the facility to a working code and environment fit for all technicians and crew members. Assure that all work accomplished is properly documented in accordance with FAA and WPA department requirements
- Assist in maintaining the company owned aircraft hangar and transitioning to SLC as the new hangar is built
Required Qualifications:
- Working towards their FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates
- Aviation maintenance/avionics experience
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in time-sensitive manner
- Have a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic aviation field
- Demonstrate a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
- Be effective in communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with the use of technology and computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office and related business applications
- Pursuing on-going technical training and remain alert of industry standards and advancements through networking, conferences, and seminars
