Job Description
Mobile Detailing Crew Leader Trainee
Start at $19/hour plus tips during paid training. Once promoted to crew leader, earn $20/hour plus tips, commission, and mileage reimbursement.
Pristine Clean Mobile Details is a veteran-owned business serving Central Texas since 2011. We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking person in the Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, or surrounding area who wants to learn mobile detailing and grow into leading a crew.
No detailing experience required. We provide training, equipment, and supplies.
The opportunity
You’ll start as a helper, working alongside an experienced crew leader. Our goal is to prepare you for a crew leader position within 20–60 days, depending on your progress and available routes.
We’re looking for someone who can do more than clean a vehicle: communicate professionally, take responsibility, work well with others, and eventually guide a helper.
What you’ll do
- Travel with your crew to customers’ locations.
- Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors.
- Learn polishing and other detailing services.
- Set up, pack up, and care for company equipment.
- Take before-and-after pictures to document work.
- Follow instructions and deliver quality work at a productive pace.
- Communicate concerns or problems promptly to management.
- As a crew leader, communicate with customers and help lead your assigned helper.
Pay and advancement
- During training: $19/hour plus tips.
- Upon promotion to crew leader: $20/hour plus tips, commission, and mileage reimbursement.
- Crew leader commission starts at 5% of completed service sales, increases to 7.5% after 90 days as a leader, and 10% after 180 days.
- Crew leaders receive $0.25 per eligible work mile.
- Regular payroll is every two weeks.
- Optional daily pay is available after eligibility requirements are met. Limits and a $3 processing fee per approved request apply.
Tips and commission vary and are not guaranteed.
What we’re looking for
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Good people skills and a clean, professional appearance.
- Willingness to learn, follow directions, and apply feedback.
- Attention to detail without losing sight of productivity.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
- Reliable transportation to get to work.
- Reliable, presentable personal transportation capable of carrying company equipment when promoted to crew leader. A sedan can accommodate the standard equipment.
Experience in detailing, landscaping, moving, construction, automotive service, or other hands-on work is welcome, but not required.
Schedule and work environment
This is a permanent, year-round position. The standard schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with some flexibility subject to management approval.
We currently anticipate approximately 30 or more hours per week, although hours depend on bookings and are not guaranteed. First jobs typically start between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. Daily finishing times vary, and some busy summer days run into the evening. Schedules are generally provided the night before and may change.
This is active outdoor work involving standing, bending, kneeling, handling equipment, getting wet, and working in Texas heat. You should be comfortable staying focused and maintaining quality throughout the workday.
