Job Description
Summary: Princeton University is seeking a Research Specialist I to join the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics. The role involves assisting with experiment preparation, executing lab duties, and supporting lab members in their research projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare media and reagents, make solutions and stocks, and pour plates for general lab use
- Maintain media inventory
- Assist lab members with experiments
- Assist with other lab duties and projects as assigned
- Participate in lab group meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or a relevant field is required
- At least one year of lab research experience is required
- Basic computer skills and some familiarity with databases are required
- Must be able to work well with others and provide support to other projects
- Must have excellent organizational skills and flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must have a strong attention to detail and maintain meticulous records
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with basic molecular biology is preferred
