Job Description
Summary: Princeton University is seeking a full-time Research Specialist to assist with ongoing experiments in the Gould lab, which focuses on brain plasticity in experimental animals. The role involves a variety of rodent work, including surgery, behavior analysis, and data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Rodent work, including:
- Surgery
- Behavior
- Handling
- Breeding
- Rodent Study, Including
- Immunofluorescence, confocal and electron microscopy
- Histology
- Electrophysiology
- Hormone assays
- Data Analysis
- Maintaining laboratory protocols and other basic lab functions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in neuroscience or other relevant scientific field
- Laboratory experience working with rodents
- Excellent references
