Junior Buyer at Primus Aerospace in Reisterstown, MD

Summary: Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs and is currently seeking a Junior Buyer to join their team at their Maryland facility. The Junior Buyer will support procurement by sourcing materials and services in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while learning supply chain fundamentals and developing vendor relationships. Responsibilities: - Assist in sending RFQs and gathering supplier quotes for materials and outside processing - Support purchase order creation and tracking to ensure on-time delivery to production - Monitor order status and communicate updates to internal teams - Help expedite materials and services when needed to support production schedules - Maintain accurate records of supplier commitments, pricing, and lead times - Assist in resolving supplier issues such as delays, documentation, or quality concerns - Support inventory and material planning activities using ERP/MRP systems - Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams - Learn cost analysis, negotiation basics, and supplier performance tracking Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or graduating soon) - Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - To adhere to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Qualifications: - Internship or prior exposure to manufacturing or supply chain is a plus, but not required Required Skills: Supply Chain Management, Microsoft Excel Benefits: PTO, Paid holidays, Medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K, Long-term and short-term disability
