Job Description

The Strategic Vendor Management (SVM) Analytics & Reporting Intern will support the SVM team by gathering and validating supplier data, assisting in dashboard development, and coordinating projects to ensure accurate reporting and insights.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and compile supplier, contract, spend, and risk‑related data from multiple systems and stakeholders (SVM, Legal, Finance, IT)
- Validate and normalize supplier names, contract metadata, renewal dates, and business ownership fields to support Power BI dashboards
- Assist in maintaining supplier datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment across business units
- Support development of new Power BI dashboards by preparing structured datasets and documenting data rules/transformations
- Conduct data quality checks and identify gaps or inconsistencies that could impact reporting
- Help mock up new dashboard pages and test visual layouts for clarity and usability
- Build and update supplier profile pages including spend trends, contract summaries, SLA/risk indicators, renewal strategy, and ownership details
- Ensure supplier pages remain up to date and clearly organized for executive and stakeholder consumption
- Track SVM action items, deliverables, and follow‑ups using Planner, Teams, and other collaboration tools
- Update project trackers and support coordination across Finance, Technology, Vendor Management, and Legal
- Assist in documenting processes, decisions, meeting notes, and version histories
- Participate in team discussions, stakeholder meetings, and problem‑solving sessions
- Provide analytical and documentation support to SVM leads as needed throughout the internship program
Required Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a 2‑year, 4‑year, or graduate degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Basic analytical skills with the ability to interpret business information and structured data
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint); willingness to learn Power BI
- Strong communication skills with the ability to ask clarifying questions and document findings
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and collaborate within a project‑driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with or studying Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Coursework or exposure to data analytics, databases, or reporting concepts
- Understanding of vendor management, procurement, finance, or business operations
- Experience building documentation, dashboards, or knowledge articles (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with project coordination tools (Planner, Lists, Power Automate, Asana, Trello, Teams tasks)
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving project needs
- Experience with Excel functions such as lookups, filtering, pivot tables, or data cleanup tasks
