Job Description Lab Assistant

Position: Lab Assistant
Location: Doddaballapura, Bengaluru
Experience: Fresher to 4 Years
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Educational Qualification

• Any graduation in B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
• Candidates with relevant laboratory knowledge and practical exposure are preferred.
• Candidates should have no gaps in 10th and 12th education.

• English
• Kannada
• Hindi

Candidate Requirements

• Fresher or experienced candidates with 0–4 years of experience
• Good communication skills and a pleasant professional personality
• Physically fit and capable of performing laboratory activities
• Candidates should be local to Doddaballapura or willing to relocate/shift nearby
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety protocols
• Basic knowledge of chemical handling and laboratory practices

Key Responsibilities

1. Collect samples from raw materials, production batches, and finished products as per established procedures.
2. Perform routine laboratory tests according to approved procedures and specifications.
3. Check parameters such as viscosity, pH, solids content, density, appearance, colour, moisture, acid value, and other applicable product parameters.
4. Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and test samples required for laboratory testing.
5. Ensure proper identification and labelling of samples.
6. Accurately record test results in laboratory registers, worksheets, or ERP systems.
7. Immediately report any test results that fall outside specified limits.
8. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper cleaning after use.
9. Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the laboratory.
10. Maintain records of test samples, test results, chemicals, and laboratory consumables.
11. Monitor the availability of laboratory chemicals, reagents, and consumables and inform the supervisor when stocks are low.
12. Assist with calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments.
13. Follow proper chemical storage, handling, and disposal procedures.
14. Strictly follow chemical safety, PPE, and laboratory safety requirements.
15. Coordinate with the Production team for sample collection and testing.
16. Assist during internal, customer, and external quality audits.
17. Support the team in troubleshooting quality issues and batch testing.
18. Perform other laboratory and quality-control activities assigned by the supervisor.
