Co-op: Automation at Prime Medicine, Inc. in Cambridge, MA

Summary: Prime Medicine is a leading biotechnology company dedicated to creating and delivering the next generation of gene editing therapies to patients. The Co-op for Fall 2026 will support the Automation Core team by maintaining and operating Prime’s automation portfolio, focusing on plate-based assays, high-throughput screening, and more. Responsibilities: - Active system maintenance of current integrated robotic systems - Development of high-impact protocol designs and SOPs - Work with scientists and engineers to design and coordinate proof of concept experiments for new ideas and equipment - Assist with general lab organization, such as lab cleanliness, consumable tracking and arrangement, moving equipment to optimize prioritized needs, etc… - Aseptic cell culture - Data analysis, interpretation, and presentations within the team Required Qualifications: - B.S./M.S. candidate in Biology, Life Sciences, or Engineering - Basic programming skills and an avid interest in lab automation - Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills - Ability to work independently and within a team Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of basic biology and experience with liquid handling automation (especially Tecan) Required Skills: Liquid handling automation, Basic programming skills Important Skills: Aseptic cell culture, Data analysis Nice-to-Have Skills: Troubleshooting skills, Independent work Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, A 401(k) match, Equity programs, Generous paid time off, Wellness days, Company-wide recharge breaks
