Description

We are seeking a motivated, personable, and results-oriented Used Car Buyer to expand our dealership’s inventory through direct vehicle acquisitions. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and negotiation skills, a keen eye for valuable vehicle opportunities, and the ability to assess vehicles and make sound purchasing decisions.

This is an active, field-based role suited for a self-starter who takes initiative, builds relationships with sellers, and consistently pursues new opportunities rather than relying solely on incoming leads.

Responsibilities

• Develop a consistent pipeline of potential vehicle purchases.
• Contact sellers, qualify vehicles, and schedule inspections or appointments.
• Conduct face-to-face vehicle inspections and evaluate overall condition.
• Identify vehicles that fit the company's inventory needs and buying criteria.
• Negotiate purchase prices and structure deals that meet company profitability targets.
• Complete vehicle purchases professionally and efficiently.
• Build relationships with repeat sellers, local vehicle owners, and referral sources.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Bachelor's degree in business (preferred)
• Several years of automotive sales experience
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Sales and trend forecasting abilities

Salary Description

$52,000 - $120,000 Annually
