Job Description
Summary: Premera Blue Cross is dedicated to transforming healthcare and improving customers’ lives. As a Software Development Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the software development process while collaborating with a technical team to enhance quality code and solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities:
- Learn how data plays a critical role in managing and meeting the needs of Premera’s internal and external Premera business partners
- Complete projects and meaningful assignments in the Cloud space, pushing boundaries with the newest design and engineering practices
- Learn alongside a dedicated, upbeat team who are eager to mentor, teach, and contribute to your future career
- Be challenged by unconventional thinking and collaborate with individuals and teams to accomplish organizational milestones
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a two or four-year undergraduate program; a graduate program; or are a recent graduate (less than 12 months) of either an undergraduate or graduate program
- If undergraduate, have completed 50% of credits necessary to earn degree or certificate
- You take initiative, persevere, stay curious, and are energized by lifelong learning
- Please confirm that you can meet the hybrid work requirements for the duration of the internship, including weekly commuting to the Mountlake Terrace campus
- Please confirm your anticipated or prior graduation date
Preferred Qualifications:
- Application development experience utilizing C#, REST services, SQL, Azure cloud technologies, CI/CD, TDD, and some experience with AI
- Experience or interest in DevOps developing infrastructure, configuration, deployment scripting, and automation for customer-facing services running on a mix of virtual machines and containers running on Kubernetes
- Experience or interest in automating using CI/CD tools in an Azure environment with Linux based deployments
