Job Description
Summary: Premera Blue Cross is dedicated to improving healthcare and empowering its employees. As a Product Owner Intern, you will join the TOPS Product Management team to help plan, develop, and manage healthcare products and services while gaining hands-on experience in Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners, IT partners, and delivery teams to identify and refine outcomes and business value in the form of epics, features, and user stories
- Organize features and user stories in accordance with requirements, including advising on requested materials and services
- Understand your customers, build journey maps, use cases, and use personas when writing features
- Evaluate proposed technology solutions for adherence to documented company standards, policies, and regulatory responsibilities
- Coordinate release schedules through early communication with lines of business and development teams
- Support roadmap management with operational and leadership team members
- Identify ways to improve processes and accelerate value for our customers
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a two or four-year undergraduate program; a graduate program; or are a recent graduate (less than 12 months) of either an undergraduate or graduate program
- Curiosity when it comes to understanding situations, problem solving, and solutioning
- Perseverance when it comes to developing solutions
- Ability to both understand organizational strategy and perform detail-oriented work
- Self-starter and ability to do independent work as well as collaborate well with others in a virtual environment
- Ability to build productive relationships across a wide variety of co-workers, partners, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
