Ready for your next challenge? We're looking for an experienced Commercial Door & Gate Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial garage doors, gates, openers, access control systems, and related equipment while delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship.
We're seeking someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and enjoys solving complex problems in the field. The ideal candidate can work independently, handle a variety of service and installation projects, maintain a strong focus on safety and quality, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for less experienced team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced installation, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial garage doors, gates, and operator systems.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections on doors, gates, and related components.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams for accurate installations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and participate in required safety training.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and time records.
- Keep service vehicle stocked, organized, and in good working condition.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding work performed and system functionality.
- Assist with special projects or emergency service calls as assigned by the Branch Manager
Requirements
- Min 2 years Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial garage doors and gates.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to commercial doors and gates.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Ability to leverage manufacturer technical support to diagnose and repair commercial doors and gates and components
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical aspects of projects.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
- Certifications such as fire doors, manufacturer specific certifications, welding proficiency
Physical requirements
Depending on the functional area of the assignment, tasks involve the ability to medium to heavy work. As a technician, you must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and carry up to 50ft. Physical efforts usually involve lifting
Pay: $28-$33 DOE
**** Our company's pay period is Sunday through Saturday, with WEEKLY payroll! That means payday is EVERY Friday! ****
