Job Description
Summary: Pratt & Whitney is a leader in aerospace and defense, seeking a motivated Intern for their Production Engineering group. The role involves supporting engine operations and participating in engineering life cycle processes for Turbo Jets and Auxiliary Power Units, providing a unique opportunity for college students in Engineering to gain industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- The Production Engineering group at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for a motivated Intern to join our team in support of commercial and military small Turbo Jets (TJ) and Auxiliary Power Units (APU) within the Fighter Mobility business group
- The unit is responsible for overseeing and improving designs, manufacturing, and engine test processes for legacy and new production small military engines
- As a Production Engineering Intern, you will participate in the day-to-day support of engine operations that span the mature phases of the engineering life cycle, including supply chain support, engine assembly, engine test, sustainment, and engineering change validation/incorporation
- Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business

Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or a related field
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the MS Office Suite – Excel, Power Point, Word
- Experience with CAD tools: UG NX, CREO, or CATIA
