Summary: Practising Law Institute (PLI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and informing legal professionals. They are seeking Information Technology Interns to support hands-on learning and contribute to real story implementation work within a closely supervised development team. Responsibilities: - Join a small, closely supervised development team to participate in real story implementation work - Collaborate with experienced engineers and technical leads to deliver project outcomes - Use AI-powered development tools such as OpenAI Codex and Microsoft GitHub Copilot to accelerate learning and productivity - Attend daily stand-ups, contribute to team discussions, and document progress and learnings - Complete assigned tasks in software development, testing, or automation as directed by the team - Present findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - preferably in a technology-related major (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering) - Rising senior college undergraduate - 2026 college graduate from an accredited undergraduate program - Must be available to participate in the program, beginning June 8th - Must have the ability to work Monday – Thursday from 9am – 5pm (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break) and Fridays from 9 am – 12:30 pm (31.50 hours per week) - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Some intern assignments will require familiarity with department specific software - Demonstrated interest in software development, automation, or IT operations - Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript) - Curiosity about AI tools and willingness to experiment with new technologies - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Must have the ability to provide recommendation letters from school and/or previous employer - No prior professional experience required; this program is designed for entry-level candidates Required Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Programming language - Python, Programming language - Java, Programming language - C#, Programming language - JavaScript, Software development, Automation, IT operations
