AI/ML Engineering Intern (Summer 2026) at Poshmark in California

Summary: Poshmark is the leading fashion marketplace where style comes alive through discovery and human connection. They are seeking an AI/ML Engineering Intern to contribute to Machine Learning initiatives that solve challenging problems in social commerce, such as pricing and recommendation systems. Responsibilities: - Build and deploy Machine Learning models to solve business problems - Create a readable and comprehensive documentation of your work - Implement new algorithms or tweak existing algorithms based on research papers - Work on POCs to establish the feasibility of solving problems the existing team has not yet worked on - Partner and collaborate with other AI/ML engineers and scientists Required Qualifications: - Pursuing or just finished a degree in relevant quantitative field such as Statistics, Math, Computer Science or Data Science - Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques and concepts (e.g. regression, classification, loss functions, evaluation metrics, ensembles, cross validation) - Experience with Python, SQL, Java or Scala - Familiarity with Spark or any other big data processing framework - Good understanding of data structures and algorithms - Good understanding of ML lifecycle and system architecture - Good written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to learn new tools and techniques to get things done - Demonstrated interest in Poshmark's mission, community, or industry - Current or rising senior enrolled in an accredited university, or recent college graduate - Seniors should expect to graduate between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027 - Strong communication, collaboration, and curiosity - Available to work a M-F 5-day work schedule between 8am-5pm - Willing to commute 5x per week to PMHQ in Redwood City, CA - No employment sponsorship required now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Spark or any other big data processing framework is a plus Required Skills: Machine Learning, Regression, Classification, Loss Functions, Evaluation Metrics, Ensembles, Cross Validation, Python, SQL, Java, Scala, Spark, Data Structures, Algorithms, ML Lifecycle, System Architecture Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
