Job Description
Summary: PNC is a bank that values its employees as its greatest asset. They are seeking a Software Developer Associate to assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications within the Retail Tech Core Debit Product organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development, testing, and implementation of software solutions
- Assists with designing software solutions
- Writes code, tests and deploys software
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software
- Maintains and debugs software
Required Qualifications:
- Basic programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
- Understanding of software development fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms)
- Familiarity with databases and basic SQL
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
