Job Description
Summary: PJT Partners is a global advisory-focused investment bank, seeking to hire an Analyst to join the Management/COO team. This role supports the operations, growth, and strategy of PJT Partners’ Strategic Advisory business by working closely with leadership on various strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Firm Management, Strategic Advisory leadership and the Strategic Advisory business on strategic and tactical projects including new business viability, account coverage and identifying growth opportunities
- Drive new business and efficiencies through business partnering, analytical insight and project management
- Support strategic decision-making through internal and external quantitative and qualitative reporting and business analysis
- Develop the firm’s tools and metrics around business development and strategic initiatives
- Drive collaboration between industry, country and product teams within Strategic Advisory as well as across the firm with other business areas
- Develop an understanding of the firm’s relationships and be a resource to disseminate that information across the Strategic Advisory business and the wider firm
- Collect and track firm data in various systems and Excel to support numerous processes and analyses
- Support strategic initiatives related to Artificial Intelligence
- Partner with various corporate teams that support the Strategic Advisory business and Firm management including Technology, Finance, FP&A, HR, Legal and Compliance
- Develop a deep understanding of the Strategic Advisory business, products and markets
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant work, internship or school project experience
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organization, time and deadline management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate with others as well as work independently and self-motivate
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; both verbally and in writing
- Comfort working and communicating with professionals at all levels
- Strong judgement, discretion and ability to be proactive and show initiative
- Comfort handling highly confidential information
- High level of competency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Excel skills should include use of formulas and pivot tables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence business tool an advantage
