Entrepreneur in Residence, Head of Originals at Pillar · Milan

The mission

We want Pillar to be the most trusted voice in construction, not just another software vendor. Originals is how we get there: original content and formats that construction professionals actually want to watch, read, listen to and share.

And we are not starting from scratch. Originals begins with an audience already in place: social pages with +20M views and 175k followers across platforms. What is missing is the person who turns this asset into a real media business.

Why “Entrepreneur in Residence”

This is a founder-style role inside a company that already has product, customers and a sales engine behind it. You will have full ownership of the Originals P&L, with a clear goal: reach break-even within 12 months.

What you’ll do

• Own the Originals P&L end to end: revenue, costs, margins, and the path to break-even in 12 months
• Define the editorial line for Originals, and grow what already works on our existing channels
• Build and lead the sales of sponsored content and partnerships: define the offer and pricing, build the pipeline, close deals with brands and manage the relationships over time
• Explore additional revenue lines that fit the model (events, premium formats, licensing, branded series)
• Grow the audience across social channels, with a rigorous approach to distribution and analytics
• Connect Originals to the wider business: support Pillar’s demand generation and brand while keeping Originals commercially sustainable and independent
• Lead and hire the first team members, freelancers and partners (producers, editors, hosts, creators, sales support)

What we’re looking for

• A track record of building and running a media, content or creator business, or a comparable venture, ideally with direct P&L responsibility
• Proven experience selling sponsorships, branded content or partnerships, and the commercial skills to build a pipeline and close deals
• Strong editorial and storytelling instincts, with the taste to know what is good and the discipline to ship it consistently
• Solid understanding of audience growth on social platforms and of how content turns into revenue
• Experience managing small teams and external partners
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action over perfect plans
• Genuine curiosity about construction and the people who work in it. Prior industry experience is a plus, not a requirement

What we offer

• 60.000-80.000 € RAL
• A founder-level scope with the backing of an established company
• Full P&L ownership
• An existing audience and brand assets from day one
• Direct work with the VP of Growth and Pillar’s leadership team
• Competitive compensation
• Flexible working setup
