About us
Pickle is a talent partner for fast-growing businesses. We help ambitious founders and leadership teams hire exceptional people across operations, product, technology, customer success, commercial, finance, and executive leadership.
We specialise in identifying high-quality permanent and contractor talent that can make an immediate impact, supporting businesses through key growth stages with a thoughtful, consultative approach to hiring. Whether it's a critical leadership appointment or building out an entire function, we work as an extension of our clients' teams to find people who combine the right skills, mindset, and cultural fit.

About the Job
About Our Business and the Role
We are a fast-growing, multi-brand e-commerce business operating across Amazon and other online marketplaces, with Amazon FBA as our main channel.
The business has grown quickly through founder-led execution and is now entering its next stage of operational maturity. We are looking for a Head of E-commerce Operations to become the operational backbone of the company, helping bring structure, accountability, and consistency to the way the team works.
This is a hands-on Amazon and e-commerce operations role first, and a general operations leadership role second. We need someone who understands how Amazon FBA businesses operate day to day, across PPC, listings, catalog, inventory, launches, account health, creative, reporting, and team coordination.
You will work directly with the founders to reduce their involvement in daily Slack messages, task chasing, follow-ups, and operational coordination, while making sure the business continues to move quickly. The right person will turn complexity into clear priorities, make sure tasks have owners and deadlines, and ensure important issues are followed up properly.
This is not a junior project management role. We are looking for someone commercially sharp, highly organised, proactive, and confident holding people accountable across a fast-moving remote team.
What You Must Have
- Multiple years of hands-on experience working with Amazon FBA / Amazon marketplace businesses.
- Experience working with 7 or 8 figure e-commerce brands.
- Strong understanding of Amazon operations, including Seller Central, listings, catalog, account health, PPC, inventory, launches, reporting, and marketplace performance.
- Experience managing multiple brands, product lines, or SKUs at once.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional execution across PPC, creative, product development, supply chain, reporting, and marketplace operations.
- Strong experience creating structure, accountability, and follow-up systems in a fast-moving business.
- Excellent written communication and ability to work directly with founders.
- Confidence holding team members accountable to deadlines, priorities, and quality of work.
What Else We're Looking For
- Experience leading operations within a high-growth e-commerce or consumer products business.
- Strong ability to turn messy Slack discussions into clear actions, owners, deadlines, and next steps.
- Ability to filter what genuinely needs founder input and what should be handled by the team.
- Experience building simple systems, SOPs, trackers, dashboards, or reporting processes from scratch.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how Amazon brands grow profitably.
- Comfortable working across international teams and time zones.
- Calm, direct, organised, and able to bring clarity in a lean, fast-moving environment.
- Genuine interest in AI, automation, and technology, with a willingness to use tools to improve how the team works.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the company-wide task and follow-up system.
- Ensure key projects have clear owners, deadlines, priorities, and status updates.
- Follow up with team members to make sure work is completed properly and on time.
- Reduce founder involvement in daily Slack messages, task chasing, and operational coordination.
- Batch founder decisions into clear summaries instead of allowing constant interruptions.
- Coordinate across PPC, creative, product development, supply chain, reporting, and marketplace operations.
- Keep important Amazon-related issues assigned, tracked, and followed up properly.
- Maintain visibility across launches, listing updates, PPC actions, creative projects, inventory issues, account health, and reporting.
- Run a clear weekly operating rhythm for priorities, blockers, progress, and founder decisions.
- Challenge unclear, incomplete, or delayed work where needed.
- Improve internal processes, SOPs, communication habits, and operating systems.
- Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, or better tools to improve operational efficiency.
What Success Looks Like
- Founders spend significantly less time in Slack and day-to-day task chasing.
- Clear ownership and accountability exists across teams, brands, and projects.
- Important tasks are tracked with owners, deadlines, priorities, and statuses.
- Founder decisions are batched, summarised, and escalated only when needed.
- Slack communication becomes more structured and action-focused.
- Bottlenecks across PPC, creative, product, inventory, catalog, and marketplace operations are identified and resolved proactively.
- Weekly operating updates give the founders clear visibility without requiring them to manage every detail.
- The team becomes more independent, accountable, and execution-focused.
- Better systems, SOPs, reporting, and automation support continued multi-brand growth.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role within an ambitious, fast-growing organisation where your influence will extend across the entire business.
You'll work directly alongside the founders, helping shape how the organisation operates, scales, and continues its growth journey. Your ideas, systems, and leadership will have a direct impact on long-term success.
Working Requirements
- Fully remote, full-time position.
- Ability to collaborate across international teams and time zones.
- Comfortable working closely with UK-based founders and a remote global team.
What's On Offer
- Competitive compensation depending on experience.
- High level of ownership and autonomy across a multi-brand e-commerce portfolio.
- Direct exposure to strategic decision-making alongside the founders.
- Opportunity to build the operating system of a fast-growing Amazon-led business.
- A lean, ambitious, builder-focused culture.
