Job Description
Summary: St. Luke's University Health Network is a non-profit, regional, fully integrated health services provider dedicated to excellence in patient care and education. The Instructional Design Intern will support the network by managing instructional development processes and collaborating with content experts to create online educational programs and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing instructional development process, assisting content experts in the design of curriculum and instruction, development of learning resources, and redesigning of courses to electronic delivery methods
- Work in collaboration with internal content experts to develop online educational programs using Articulate 360 authoring software
- Utilize multimedia design software to develop instructional assets (e.g., visual aids, infographics), videos, and animations to support curriculum offerings
- Communicate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators and supervisor to ensure that goals and objectives are being fulfilled
- Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information
- Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements
- Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external)
- Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety
- Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes, and practices
- Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code
Required Qualifications:
- Currently matriculated in a bachelor's or master's program in Instructional Design
- Completed twelve credits in online course design, instructional design, and/or multimedia productions, graphics design, or e-learning content development
- Experience with graphic design applications (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), e-learning authoring software (e.g., Articulate or Captivate), and MS Office
