Job Description
Summary: PhoenixTeam is a consulting firm specializing in delivering innovative technology solutions to federal government customers. They are seeking a Junior MuleSoft Developer to support the development and maintenance of API-led integration solutions within an Agile team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement APIs and integration flows based on defined designs and technical specifications provided by senior team members
- Assist in translating business requirements into basic user stories and development tasks
- Support the development, configuration, and testing of integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Studio
- Perform basic data transformation using DataWeave
- Contribute to unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution
- Support CI/CD processes and version control practices
- Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting integration solutions in lower environments
- Maintain and update technical and functional documentation as needed
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with team members and actively seek feedback to improve technical skills
- Escalate issues, risks, or blockers to senior team members as appropriate
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, OR
- Associate's degree + 1+ year of software development or integration experience, OR
- High School Diploma/GED + 2+ years of relevant technical experience or training
- Basic understanding of APIs and web services, including RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript)
- Exposure to MuleSoft, integration platforms, or middleware concepts through academic projects, internships, or professional experience
- Understanding of basic data formats (JSON, XML)
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (or working toward certification)
- Internship or project experience with integrations or APIs
- Experience with Git or similar tools for source code management
- Experience working in a collaborative Agile environment
- Interest in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
