Job Description
Summary: Perry Ellis International, Inc. represents a diverse portfolio of lifestyle apparel brands. The Sourcing Associate will support the accessories team in identifying and evaluating suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and executing sourcing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying potential suppliers by conducting market research, attending industry events, and leveraging online resources
- Support the accessories team in evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and compliance with company standards
- Maintain and update supplier databases, ensuring all vendor information is accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure the smooth procurement of goods and services
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards
- Assist with resolving any supplier-related issues, including delays, product defects, or quality concerns
- Support the accessories team in managing the end-to-end sourcing process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of procurement activities

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management (entry-level candidates with relevant internships or experience will be considered)
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier offerings and market trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with procurement software is a plus
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- A proactive and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with global sourcing or knowledge of international trade practices
- Familiarity with contract management, cost analysis, and procurement best practices
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and navigate different business needs
