Position Summary Reporting to the Upholstery Shop Supervisor, the Upholstery Shop Technician is required to carry out the fabrication and repair of a variety of upholstery products required by our airline with respect to repairs, trim and finish, according to specific data. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Accomplish fabrication and repair of upholstery, chairs, trim and finish parts required by our airline, in accordance with data. Make ongoing work scope recommendations based upon shop floor observations. Make recommendations on policy and procedures to improve shop productivity and contribute to continuous improvement. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations Previous experience in sewing, use of patterns and upholstery construction Any aircraft post graduate training considered an asset Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

Physically able to perform all listed job duties Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
