Overview
The EHS Specialist (Enviro) position is responsible for activities related to the environment including the broader community impacted by environmental hazards. Develops and implements environmental health and safety programs, processes, and procedures. Establishes, maintains, and improves environmental accident and investigation processes to identify root causes and performs corrective actions. Ensures the organization is fully compliant with all legislative and organizational requirements for safeguarding the environment, while protecting lives and assets. Monitor the operational of Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Waste Management Process. Maintains relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization.
Responsibilities
What you will be responsible for:
- Facilitate, motivate and promote the deployment of EHS Policy throughout the organization, through guidance, training and assistance.
- Implement strategic development plan to reduce environmental footprint from water and energy.
- Monitor integrated management system (IMS) implementation in line with PepsiCo’s General EHS Management System (GEHSMS)
- Serving as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability.
- Conducting research and technical audits on environmental impact of operational plant
- Improving environmental conservation management, including recycling, waste management, water pollution and air pollution
Qualifications
What you will need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in environmental aspects and overall EHS system
- Minimum holds a Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Chemical Engineering
- Has good team work, communication skills, strong decision making abilities, strong analysis and problem solving skills
- Familiar with wastewater treatment and emission control operations
- Experience in running sustainability programs
- Good presentation and facilitation skills, problem solving, and action planning
- Experience in dealing with government environmental regulations
- Preferably holds AK3U & POPAL/POIPU/POPLB3 Certification
- Fluent in written and spoken English, and Bahasa
