Job Description
Summary: Penumbra, Inc. is a global healthcare company focused on innovative therapies. They are seeking a Finance College Intern to provide administrative support to the accounting team, assist with financial records, participate in the financial close process, and collaborate with various departments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of financial records and compiling of reports
- Participate in financial close process in areas which may include general ledger, SEC reporting, tax, cost accounting, and forecasting
- Compile and assist with the processing of Purchase Orders, Check Requisitions, Employee Requests, Sales Reports, and other forms
- Analyzing financial data using various software tools such as Tableau, Workiva, and Excel
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other departments
- Assist with Finance related projects
- Perform administrative functions including faxing, copying, filing, and scheduling meeting rooms and equipment
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures
- Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company
- Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 1+ years of college experience in finance, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills required
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office tools
- Ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously
