Job Description
Summary: Penn State University is seeking undergraduates to assist engineers in the Energy Science and Power System Division of the Applied Research Laboratory. The role involves mechanical design and analysis, mechanical assembly, and testing of prototype hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Assist ARL engineers in the areas of mechanical design and analysis
- Mechanical assembly
- Test & evaluation
- Design, assembly and testing of prototype hardware
Required Qualifications:
- Students in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science and Mechanics are encouraged to apply
- Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen to apply and will be subject to a government security investigation
- Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
- Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
- All positions at ARL require candidates to possess the ability to obtain a government security clearance
