Job Description
Summary: The Pennsylvania State University is seeking three part-time Technical Research & Analysts to start in January 2026. The successful candidates will develop and evaluate data-driven assets for departmental projects, requiring technical scripting, hands-on AI work, and analytical research to measure the efficacy of new digital workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Use Generative AI and AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to build, test, and troubleshoot technical assignments and business logic
- Develop and anonymize synthetic or public datasets (Kaggle, Open Data) for project use-cases
- Design and clean surveys to track user confidence and evaluate the performance of AI-augmented tasks
- Create polished technical documentation, including prompt-engineering guides and software screenshots
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled Penn State graduate student
- Proficiency in prompt engineering and auditing AI-generated code
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python, and data visualization
- Experience with survey data collection and basic data cleaning
